In our most recent installment of updates on the StudioNow Platform, we are pleased to announce Intelligent Bidding.
Intelligent Bidding allows vendors to submit more than one bid at any given time, whereas previously, a vendor bidding in the platform was only able to submit a single bid for client consideration.
The design of the Intelligent Bidding workspace allows vendors to submit and clients to review different variations of a bid. This enhanced optionality allows for multiple bids and revisions from a given vendor.
When a vendor clicks 'CREATE NEW BID', they are taken to the bid form and can easily navigate back to the workspace above any time to view all of their bids, or start a new one.
Bids in the Intelligent Bidding workspace now appear in one of three statuses: revision requested, draft, or Submitted.
These statuses are important because they are applied to help a vendor keep track of a given bid option’s life cycle and what they may be expected to do next.
Another great feature of the Intelligent Bidding workspace is that bids can be distinguished from one another with ascending alphabetical titles i.e. Bid A, Bid B, Bid C. These titles are automatically applied to a vendor's bid when their second bid is submitted as an option. Those managing these bids on the client-side are privy to these titles as well, in addition to a new card that identifies the vendor associated with a group of bids. Here's what that looks like:
You'll notice in the above example, 'Original' and 'Revision 1' appear a lighter gray than the most recent revisions. This distinction is a nod to a new workflow rule.
Previously, those managing the bidding process could request new versions of a bid through the revision process and could still choose prior revisions to the bid as the winner. Please note, selecting a winning version of a bid that is not the most recent revision is no longer possible in the Intelligent Bidding workspace. In other words, clients can only select the most recent revision of a bid. To present multiple options, vendors must create a separate bid, which makes it clear to both parties which bid versions are still valid for selection.
The last major value add from Intelligent Bidding is that vendors can now see their bids as the clients see them. Previously, they were only privy to the edit view of a bid form and were never able to get a feel for its presentation to a client. In this release, polished bid details are now available for the vendor to the right of the bid card selected in the workspace.
